Ingredients
4 salmon fillets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
Salt and pepper, to taste
For Avocado Salsa:
2 ripe avocados, diced
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Juice of 1 lime
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
Rub salmon fillets with olive oil and generously coat with the spice mixture.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook salmon fillets for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and blackened.
While salmon is cooking, prepare the avocado salsa. In a medium bowl, combine diced avocado, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
