Ingredients
Mayonnaise: 1/2 cup
Fig jam: 1 jar (black mission fig jam recommended)
Gorgonzola cheese: 4 ounces, crumbled
French baguette: 1, thinly sliced
Butter: 2 tablespoons
Instructions
Slice the Baguette: Thinly slice on the diagonal to make about 12 to 14 pieces.
Toast the Bread: Place a thin slice of butter on each side of the bread slices and toast in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown.
Assemble: Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on each toasted slice, then spread fig jam, and top with crumbled gorgonzola.
Serve: Set aside in a cool place for no longer than 10 minutes before serving.
