6 ounces cream cheese, softened

¼ cup sour cream

1 can (4.5 oz) green chiles, drained

½ teaspoon ground cumin

½ teaspoon chili powder

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon onion powder

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese

2 cups diced cooked chicken

Kosher salt and black pepper to taste

8 flour or corn tortillas

Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, green chiles, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, and chicken. Season with salt and pepper.

Spoon the mixture across the top third of each tortilla, roll tightly, and secure with a toothpick.

Heat oil in a skillet or Dutch oven. Fry taquitos until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate and remove toothpicks.
