- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour buttermilk into another shallow bowl.
- Dip green beans into the buttermilk, shaking off any excess.
- Dredge the buttermilk-coated green beans in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully lower battered green beans into the hot oil in batches, frying for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove fried green beans from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Repeat the frying process with the remaining green beans.
- Serve hot fried green beans with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce.
