These fried sliced mushrooms are extra crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfect for dipping in creamy ranch dressing. Great for game day, parties, or a fun snack
Ingredients
For the Fried Mushrooms:
1 pound mushrooms, sliced
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended for extra crunch)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)
For the Ranch Dressing:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp dried dill
1 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp dried chives
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Mushrooms:
Clean and slice the mushrooms.
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bread the Mushrooms:
Dip each mushroom slice in flour, then egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
Fry the Mushrooms:
Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the mushrooms in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Ranch Dressing:
In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
Add the dried herbs and spices, mixing well.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the fried mushrooms hot with the ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
