Description

Craving a crunchy, savory snack? This Homemade Popcorn Chicken is perfect for satisfying your cravings! Easy to make and utterly delicious, these bite-sized pieces are a hit with everyone.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetable oil for frying

Your favorite dipping sauce (optional)

Instructions

Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).

Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, coating them evenly.

Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

Serve the Homemade Popcorn Chicken hot with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy this crispy, delicious snack!
