Ingredients
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the beef strips with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the skillet. Add the beef broth, hoisin sauce, and sugar. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the pepper steak stir-fry over cooked white rice.
