Ingredients
8 ounces egg noodles
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 small onion, diced
1/2 head of cabbage, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 cup chicken broth
Salt, to taste
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet.
Add diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Add thinly sliced cabbage to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized, about 7-8 minutes.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add soy sauce, black pepper, smoked paprika, and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir to combine.
Return the cooked bacon to the skillet, then add the cooked egg noodles. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce and the ingredients are well combined.
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
