Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
Layer half of the frozen cheese ravioli over the sauce.
Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the ravioli.
Sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Repeat the layers: meat sauce, ravioli, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese.
Top with the remaining meat sauce and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the ravioli are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
