  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the melted butter.
  5. In a separate small bowl, mix together softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until creamy.
  6. Spread half of the cake batter into the prepared dish. Drop spoonfuls of half the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Spread remaining cake batter on top, then add remaining cinnamon swirl mixture in spoonfuls. Swirl again with a knife.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. While baking, prepare the glaze: whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Drizzle glaze over the warm cake once it has cooled slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature.
