Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in short intervals until fully melted.
- Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined (do not overmix). Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not completely clean for fudgy texture).
- Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.
