Ingredients
1 package (12 rolls) King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup pineapple preserves
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Slice each King Hawaiian sweet roll in half and arrange the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
Spoon the pineapple preserves over the cream cheese layer.
Place the top halves of the rolls back on.
Brush the tops with melted butter.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cream cheese mixture is set.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
