Ingredients
12 slider rolls or Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 lb thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye or sirloin)
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add thinly sliced steak and cook until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add sliced bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms. Cook until vegetables are softened and lightly caramelized, about 5-6 minutes.
Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables and mix together until evenly combined.
Layer half of the provolone cheese slices over the bottom half of the slider rolls in the baking dish.
Spread the steak and vegetable mixture evenly over the cheese layer.
Top with the remaining provolone cheese slices.
Place the top half of the slider rolls over the cheese.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and sliders are heated through.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing into individual sliders.
