Ingredients
– For the Danish: – 1 package King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 rolls) – 8 oz cream cheese, softened – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1 egg yolk – For the Pineapple Glaze: – 1/2 cup crushed pineapple (canned, drained) – 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper. 2. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk, and beat until creamy. 3. Slice each King’s Hawaiian roll in half horizontally. 4. Place the bottom halves of the rolls in the prepared baking dish. 5. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom halves. 6. Place the top halves of the rolls over the filling to make sandwiches. 7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and filling is set. 8. Meanwhile, mix crushed pineapple and powdered sugar in a small bowl to make the glaze. 9. Remove Danish from oven and let cool slightly. 10. Drizzle pineapple glaze over the warm Danish. 11. Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
