Ingredients
1 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups hot water
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour melted butter into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of sugar, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until well combined. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
Evenly distribute the brown sugar over the top.
Carefully pour the hot water over the entire mixture. Do not stir.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is set.
